Die Schönheit dieser metallisch glänzenden Libelle von den Phillippinen ist beispiellos. Der dunkle blaugrüne Schimmer der Flügel erinnert farblich an das Mineral Bornit. Auch wenn ich ihre spektakuläre Flugshow bisher nur im Film sehen konnte, hoffe ich darauf, dieses Prachtexemplar irgendwann einmal vor Ort in freier Natur bewundern zu dürfen.

This metallic-coloured jewelwing demselfly from the Phillippine Achipelago in terms of beauty is virtually unrivalled. The dark blueish and greenish glitter of its wings reminds me of bornite gemstones while whirring through the air. Even though I've seen this spectacular blaze of colour only on film I wish I'll have the opportunity of watching these exotic prime specimens flying around freely someday.
