Wie das „Wandelnde Blatt” ist auch der „Wandelnde Ast” oder die „Riesenstabschrecke”, wie sie auch genannt wird, ein Beispiel für die hohe Kunst des Überlebens durch perfekte Anpassung an den Lebensraum. Füttert man ihn mit Brombeerblättern, lässt er sich auch problemlos im Terrarium halten. Dieses schöne Insekt ist das größte auf unserem Planeten und kann eine Körperlänge von mehr als 50 cm erreichen. Die Art existiert in Malaysia, Singapur sowie auf Borneo, Sumatra und Java.

Like the ”walking leaf” the ”giant malayan stick Insect” is also a great example for survival because of perfect adaptation to the habitat. It's possible to keep it in a terrarium if you feed it with blackberry leaves. This beautiful species is the largest insect on earth. It's body length can reach a size of 20". The species exists in Malaysia, Singapur, Borneo and Java.
